Camping With Henry and Tom

In a forest outside of Licking Creek, Maryland, in 1921, an unusual group of leaders met for an unforgettable camping trip. Three famous campers are unexpectedly on their own: Henry Ford, who wants to be President; Warren G, Harding, who wishes he wasn’t President; and Thomas Edison, who sees through it all. Join us for a fictional adventure exploring what could have happened that night.

 St. Germain was well ahead of his time writing this historical fantasy in 1995. It is amusing to encounter two of the giants who helped propel the world further into the industrial revolution and away from the largely agricultural society common before the Great War, placed in natural surroundings - and to have the President of the United States the LEAST famous among the group. We do know that these gentlemen gathered once a year to "camp"- albeit with cooks, valets, electric lights, and all manner of support staff.  These "Vagabonds" (as they styled themselves) invented "glamping"- without knowing it! We meet up with these men  less than three years following the end of World War I.  The Great War informs much of the interplay between them.
